Lanzarote was a great week of training! Lots and lots of miles on the bike, with a little running and swimming. It took me a few days to get in to it but when we hit day 4 I was totally loving it. I had never been there before and didn’t really know what to expect but I had been warned about the wind. Wow, it was windy. The week before I left I had a consultation with Matt Lovell, sports nutritionalist for the England rugby team. The session was a big eye opener for me and now I am making a few changes to my diet which I hope will help improve my training and performance and already I am feeling more powerful. Now a couple of easy days then back to it. I’m looking forward to racing at MK Duathlon at the end of the month. My new Blue TT bike isn’t due to arrive until mid April so hopefully Corley Cycles will lend me a bike for the race!
